- Just my luck... I finally decide to switch full time from EGS to CyberGraphX,
- purchase the commercial version, install it, things are great.... ALAS! I
- started experiencing random freeze ups! I attribute these to CG, because
- this definately was NOT happening under EGS. My setup is as follows:
- A3000 68040 12F2C Rev. 11 Buster, GVP Spectrum, CyberGraphX 2.16, OS3.1. I
- noticed that the lock ups are much more frequent if I let the card's blitter do
- p2c conversion. Setting the environmental variable cybergraphics/CPUP2C reduced
- the problem SIGNIFICANTLY, but it still happends quite a bit. I suspect that
- this is a problem with the latest release of CGFX, since before this started
- happening, I was using the previous unregistered versions of CG for running my
- EMPLANT, and it never happened. The symptoms are the system simply freezes
- up. No GURU, no software failure. Does anyone else experience this? I really
- like the CG software otherwise, but this is very annoying (especially when
- I'm connected to the net).
